Honda Civic 1. 0th- gen (2. Honda. O. P. https: //www. As. 8n. 2f. R- kd. YWhat do you reckon? After having enhanced a '9. Civic lately with some basic servicing I have to say they really didn't need to change any engine things since then.

On the new model, the styling is sure beautiful, and it will no doubt crawl nicely in peak hour traffic. But will it have the instant throttle response of the '9. Civics? Oh yes. One missing feature of the '9. Civics is frontal collision avoidance.

One week after tweeking the kids car to go like stink, looks like he involuntarily decided to restyle the bonnet with some kind of impact damage. Now it's all crumply.

Cheap Tyres from China in wet conditions on a sporty Honda = not impressive. It is just a concept so will be interesting to see what actually comes across to production. One thing with the 9th gen I never liked was the rear. So his accent is 7.

Australian with 2. Britishness - my opinion. Sounds British. We are still a british colony. User 6. 6~ writes.. We are still a british colony. Not since 1. 90. 1. Arokh writes.. Not since 1.

We're heading there soon. Don't worry. Don't forget, it's likely that we will be getting more Honda Civics from the UK, and the government will make it easier for the UK to ship them to us. This will create more jobs in the UK and less for us. Of course, none of this being important to those in charge, or very important depending on which way you look at your australian $1 coin. Como Medir La Calidad De Un Software De Facturacion. That concept will be the usdm coupe, we won't get them, what we'll get will mostly look like thishttp: //i. As to engines, they will be small 3 and 4 cylinder turbo engines.

They could've presented it in a gunmetal grey or something more attractive! Also, concept cars usually look great, hopefully they follow through with the design, because alot of them don't end up looking like the concept plan. O. P. Lethal Llama writes..

Well the concept car has about 2. Now Mazda 3 is the hottest in the market and it would be nice to genuinely see some close competition out there. Now waiting for the hatch version. The Acura look is growing on me,this might be a perfect replacement for my 2. Accord Euro, depending on price and features. Size looks the same..

I like the front of the car & also the 1. L turbo.. but not too sure on the back especially the tail lights. Any word on new Type R for Australia? Did they employ different designers between the front and the rear?

Talking about incoherent. The front had that over styled grill but thats the corporate look at the moment.. But the rear. What the hell was that. Looks like they've taken the most ugly looking honda on sale (Crosstour) and copied it's design. Bravo.. mystery train writes.. T petrol . It's a Honda, it should be manual anyway.

The design language including the rear end is consistent with the other vehicles in the range like the Jazz.. It's a Honda, it should be manual anyway. CVT only so it seems. Styling massive improvement.

Engines massive improvement. Can't wait to see the hatch, especially the type R. Hopefully new type R will hit Australian shores by 2. Thinly disguised prototypes are already being road tested.

As far as I can glean, the new type R will be a newly styled hatchback, landing in USA 2. Can't wait! All the road tests have been exceptionally positive,it looks like the new Civic sedan will be the benchmark in this class next year. Yeah I'm considering this in place of Mazda 3. Honda Australia is – in my opinion as a one- time Honda fan – run by idiots who wouldn't know a good car if it bit them on the bum. And I bet the new turbo motor will mated solely to an auto transmission. Honda are rapidly turning into the auto- only car company. Ah, rant over – I feel better.

I am putting off purchasing a Mazda 3/Toyota Corolla now,as am waiting to see the Civic early next year,it looks impressive. Sedan expected in Australia mid 2. A quite comprehensive review of Civic 2. LQbi. Bq. Tn. I4. American version obviously.

Can't wait for the Aussie version to emerge next year. I think with the turbo on board Honda would resurrect the sporty Civic look and come back from the sales grave. Even with no R- Type there is plenty in the lower range for those that want to tune the Civic. How much do you reckon the 1. Also any eta? My local dealer told me the new Civic will be launched in May,and top model will rival top of the range Corolla sedans and Mazda 3s price wise. I am holding off buying a Corolla or Mazda, and am waiting for the Civic for various reasons. Sweet so around 3.

I would say $3. 50. I could haggle for this 2. RRP on the website is $3. It's worth waiting for the all new Civic,it's been a runaway success in America and Canada since its launch, and has just won the American car of the year award for 2. I can't wait for it to be launched locally,it will hopefully be the best Honda since the Accord Euro. Is the green car a concept though or is it actually called a Honda civic concept?? I'm confused or is it legit what we will be able to buy in a showroom?

Sir Fredoops writes... STOP SALE in the US for the Civic pending safety recall..

What a pain in the ass process that is going to be.. The 1. 5 Turbo is as warm as a Mazda 3 SP2. Type R is also a likely starter as well.

O. P. Sir Fredoops writes... STOP SALE in the US for the Civic pending safety recall.. Only on the 2. 0. L n/a engine.. Not really relevant to much else.

I guess this is an R2. Either way it is an older engine design, or a small development thereof, AFAIK, not relevant to suggesting any issues with their 1. Edit – Sorry, it's a new K2. DOHC derivative, my mistake. It certainly is more attractive than the current Honda Civic sedan, but how it stacks up against the Focus or the Mazda 3 in terms of equipment, driveability and price isn't known yet.

Certainly doesn't look good at the base model level, with Honda using that old 1. Always curious writes.. They have little credibility left, in my opinion – meaning that I'll believe it only when I see it. Honda I'd believe.

Honda Australia though? Any current model Hondas available here with top spec+manual? Honda I'd believe. Honda Australia though? Yes, that's who I meant.

And yes, Honda Australia seems to offer manual in base models only, if it offers manual at all. The caradvice article reads to e as if it wasn't decided yet if even the base model would get a manual transmission. If it doesn't, then recent history would suggest that the 1. As I've said before (in connection with Honda) I'll be very happy to be proven wrong. O. P. Always curious writes..

It certainly is more attractive than the current Honda Civic sedan, but how it stacks up against the Focus or the Mazda 3 in terms of equipment, driveability and price isn't known yet. What are you talking about? It goes without saying that the architecture in terms of crash safety & stiffness, low driving position, quietness & high- quality cabin materials and unique features like lane- watch assist will be present wherever the car is made. Always curious writes..

Honda Australia seems to offer manual in base models only, if it offers manual at all. Obviously, it won't drive as sporty as a Focus or Mazda. Type R & Si (perhaps a Type S) model are specifically designed for that purpose with a manual transmission.. While it has a CVT, it doesn't feel like a CVT. Civic has better fuel economy, a more refined ride and more features compared to the Mazda.

Anyone else going to be buying the 1. Turbo? O. P. It's good. However Focus with 1. T, new Megane abd Mazda. I will almost certainly be buying this...

Anyone else going to be buying the 1. Turbo? I am anxiously waiting to see and test the 1. Apparently there will be 2 models,a sporty RS ,and luxury SI. I am looking to replace my faultless Accord Euro, and am keen on the luxury model, but it will also depend on what price it will be,and what features it will have.

The link says cargo space is 5. From the Honda USA brochure, it says cargo space is 1.

Where is the extra 1. Also, I wonder if we get the Honda Sensing technology as an option?
